She was born on 6 March 1997 to Bollywood producer Boney Kapoor and the late actress Sri Devi is the sister of Arjun and Anshula Kapoor and the younger sister of Khushi Kapoor. She graduated from the Dhirubhai Ambani International School, Mumbai, and then went to The Leo Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute in Los Angeles to study theater and films.
It was announced in 2017 that Janhvi would be making her debut in Bollywood with the movie Dhadak produced by Karan Johar. She has signed three more films with Karan Johar’s production house. She recently finished shooting and is currently in post-production.
