Bhumi Pednekar Wiki: Bhumi Pednekar is a well-known Indian actress who has made a name for herself in Hindi movies by playing strong-willed characters in both comedic and serious roles. Born in Mumbai on July 18, 1989, Pednekar grew up in an educated and well-off family; her father was the former Home and Labor Minister of Maharashtra, and her mother worked as an anti-tobacco activist following her husband’s death from oral cancer.

She went to school at the Arya Vidya Mandir in Juhu. After that, in 2015, she started working in Bollywood as an assistant casting director at Yash Raj Films. The Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut was given to her because of how well she played a fat bride in the company’s romantic comedy, Dum Laga Ke Haisha.
Since then, Pednekar has made a name for herself playing lead roles in box office successes like Toilet: Ek Prem Katha (2017), Shubh Mangal Saavdhan (2017), Bala (2019), Pati Patni Aur Woh (2019), Dolly Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitare (2020), and Badhaai Do (2022). Most recently, she won the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actress for her portrayal of the septuagenarian sharpshooter Chandro Tomar in Saand Ki Aankh (2019).
