UPSC Civil Services exam is the toughest exam in the country. The story of the candidates clearing this exam inspires lakhs of youth. In this episode, UPSC 2021 Topper is going to tell the story of IAS officer Samyak Jain here. Samyak got 7th rank in UPSC exam. But the story behind his success is very inspiring.

Samyak Jain, who hails from Delhi, comes from an affluent family.  Both his parents work in AIR India.  Samyak lives with his mother, while his father is posted in Paris.  After completing his schooling, Samyak enrolled in Delhi University.  The biggest accident of his life happened in college.

At the age of 20, his eyesight started decreasing and then gradually he stopped seeing everything.  Despite this, his spirits did not diminish and he studied further from IIMC, Delhi.  He earned a master's degree in International Relations from JNU.

After completion of PG Samyak started preparing for UPSC.  Samyak told that according to the rules of UPSC, he needed a writer to write the answers in the examination and this requirement was fulfilled by Samyak's mother Vandana Jain.  Samyak used to speak the answers to the questions and his mother used to write these answers on the answer sheets.

He could not clear this exam in the first time.  In the lockdown, he prepared from the audio book.  In his second attempt he secured All India 7th rank.  Samyak gives all the credit for his success to his family.
